Based on an acclaimed thriller by ‘Charlotte Jay’ (aka Adelaide-born novelist, Geraldine Halls), The Fugitive Eye is a 1961 telemovie starring Charlton Heston and Fred Astaire. Produced in Hollywood for a mystery anthology television series, this hour-long episode was adapted for the screen by Larry Marcus and directed by Herman Hoffman.

The State Library of South Australia recently acquired The Fugitive Eye telemovie from the US Library of Congress, making this public screening a special premiere event. There will be a brief presentation beforehand.
