Information on prizes and entry details form part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

The promoter is the State Library of South Australia, Department of the Premier and Cabinet, North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000.

Eligibility

Entry to the competition is only open to residents of South Australia, excluding employees of the State Library of South Australia and their immediate families (where 'immediate family' means a spouse, de facto partner, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the employee)

Limit of one entry per person permitted.

The competition commences at 9am Thursday 18 July 2024, South Australia time-zone. 

The competition closes at 12 midnight Sunday 28 July 2024, South Australia time-zone. 

All entries must be submitted by the above competition close date and time to be eligible for entry.

The State Library of South Australia reserves the right to request proof of identity of the person claiming the prize. Proof considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the State Library of South Australia.

In the event that the person claiming the prize/s cannot provide suitable proof of identity, the State Library of South Australia in its absolute discretion may disqualify this person.

Details of the prize

The prize is a Mastercard gift card valued at $100 (AUD).
This prize must be accepted as awarded and is non-refundable and not convertible to cash and may be subject to some restrictions.

How the prize will be awarded

The prize will be awarded on the basis of a random draw from entries received from people who have completed the State Library Customer Survey and who have indicated they would like to be in the draw by providing their contact details.

If the prize is unavailable, the State Library of South Australia, at its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize with equal value

The State Library of South Australia reserves the right to forfeit the prize in the event of a winner being unable to satisfy the competition terms and conditions or:

  • not contacting the State Library of South Australia within a 10 day time-frame following the winner announcement/notification, OR
  • if it is agreed that the prize will be physically forwarded to the winner, not providing the State Library of South Australia with a valid South Australian postal address within a 10 day time-frame following the winner announcement/notification, OR
  • if it is agreed that the prize will be physically collected from the State Library of South Australia, not collecting the prize from the State Library of South Australia within a 10 day time-frame following the winner announcement/notification, OR
  • if it is agreed that the prize will be electronically forwarded to the winner, not providing the State Library of South Australia with a valid email address within a 10 day time-frame following the winner announcement/notification.

In these scenarios, the State Library of South Australia, at its discretion, reserves the right to select a new winner or to nullify the prize.

Winner announcement/notification

The winner will be notified via the contact details provided by the winner in their entry.

No responsibility is accepted for late or lost entries. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected mail, courier transit or email when the prize is forwarded to the winner.

Any costs associated with entering the competition is the entrant's responsibility. Travel costs are not included and not part of the prize description.

The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

All contestants release from and indemnify the State Library of South Australia against all liability cost.
